Latasha “RED” Watson was born on October 3, 1989 in Brooklyn, New York. “The Name RED came from my Grandmother as I was a newborn". Growing up as a child, Red always found herself interested in Entertainment. "Growing up in my family, Music is one of the most important things in our lives. Just listen to my Mom and other family members singing was a joy to me. During the 90s my sister would always blast music in the house, like TLC,The Fugees, Michael Jackson, Madonna and so many other type of music artist we was listening to which grab my attention to be a Musician". At the age of 11 years old, Red became very interested into two Entertainment focus, Dancing and Rapping. Dancing Hip Hop inside of her home and taken Ballet classes all became natural to her. "Dancing is so powerful to me, it’s a true passion that can express yourself through movement". Also rapping became a part of her.” Starting Rapping at the age 11 was not that hard for me because of the fact, I follow the footsteps on strong MC's like Left Eye (TLC) and Lauryn Hill, their strong lyrics and flows made me say hey I want to do that too". In October 2005 at her sweet sixteen, Red was force to Freestyle in front of everyone. “I was so scared because I was so use of rapping for my family and best friends. But Now I am happy I was force to rap at my party because that gave me a chance to perform in front of others, and I must say that felt very good". In 2006 Red taken a couple classes at Broadway dance Center in New York City which help her to develop more in choreograph. In July 2007 Red enters the recording studio and recorded a couple of tracks for myspace and received many praises for her unique electro-Hip Hop sound. On October 17 2008, RED had her first performance at one of Williamsburg, Brooklyn popular club EUROPA. “The feeling of an outstanding appeasement from the crowd made me feel so happy and comfortable on stage, I did not want to leave”. Now 2010 Red main focus is to let the world hear her music. “Listening to what many people says how much they love and enjoy my style and my Music, makes me want to breathe in music even more".
