* Grammy Re-Cap *

Sooo last nite was the 52nd annual Grammy Awards and was there anyone besides me watching that was left upset. I pray every year that the awards get better but they don't. I hate how they give out so many awards yet we only see about 8 of them. Lady Gaga opened the show and brought out Elton John. It wasn't bad but I'm starting to get tired of her crazyness now. She needs to tone it down a bit.
Beyonce's Single Ladies won for Best Song of the Year which we all knew she was going to win. Congratulations to her for winning 6 awards which is a record for the Grammys by a female artist. Taylor Swift won for Best Country Album...but who really cares?? Beyonce's performance honestly wasn' t good at all. I don't know what made her sing If I Were A Boy but nobody wanted to hear that. It really put a damper on the whole show. I've seen her put on a better show than that. Pink was up next and although she looked beautiful I wasn't feeling her performance either. We just saw her on the trapeze at the MTV Awards. Come on with these washed up performances this is the Grammy's people need to come with it. Best New Artist went to The Zac Brown Band...( sorry Keri Hilson) .

The Black Eyed Peas had one of the best performances because their energy was out of control. Best Collabo went to Rihanna, Jay Z , and Kanye West. I don't know if it was just me but it definitely felt weird that Kanye wasn't there. He needed to be there. Rihanna looked beautiful and I must have missed the memo but cream is the new it color. Everyone was wearing it from Rihanna to Beyonce to Keri Hilson. Jamie Foxx also performed Blame It On The Alcohol and he also brought on a lot of energy.

I give him props just for bringing out Doug E. Fresh. To me the Michael Jackson tribute wasn't all that. They all sounded really good but it just wasn't enough. This is Michael Jackson we are tributing and I just wasn't moved at all. Next time they need to promote those damn 3D glasses so everyone can get a pair.

The funniest part of the night to me is when Beyonce accepted her final award and she says " I would like to thank my husband...I love you." Then the camera went to Jay Z's face and he was absolutely shocked. It was classic. I don't know what made Beyonce say that since they are always so tight lipped but I thank you because his reaction was PRICELESS.

Maxwell performed Pretty Wings and he sounded amazing . I could have done without the Roberta Flack cameo her wig upset me. The highlight of the show for me was Drake, Lil Wayne and Eminem. It's a shame I had to watch the whole show to get to that part. They had the best performance and Travis Barker is an absolute beast. Check out some of the highlights...
