Tell us about Yourself and Your music:
"I make the type of music that you play in your headphones & listen when you can't tell the person around you how you really feel..." Varsity Jones AKA Kareem Edwards, 22, is an artist of very versatile talents. With the ability to write a lyric & give you clearest picture while making sure it's delivered rival to none. "My diet is simple. I eat, sleep, and shit music." Jones, falls into the pack of today's hybrid hip hop artist who have the ability to deliver a superb punch line & a harmony the very next such as Drake, Big Sean, & few others. But Varsity doesn't want to be compared to as he feels as if they are all equally different. "Drake & Sean are two artist who make music sound so fun to do. I've always admired those guys. But my music is not close to theirs. All different styles. All different stories." When asked who his favorite artist was, his answer was simple. "Lil' Wayne. Lil' Wayne is not just hip hop any more. Over time he has morphed into music, in my opinion." Varsity Jones' true goal is to one day become a record executive. Whether it be at an already established record label, or his own. "I want to be involved in music. It's really all I know. And it's all I every really will know. I would always rhyme though. I may even turn into a ghost writer." - (Dated 12/2010)
